Floor To Ceiling Subway Tile Kitchen

Floor to ceiling subway tile wall in the kitchen this past weekend i tackled a project i ve been wanting to work on for a while.

My idea was to continue to run the subway tile backsplash from floor to ceiling on that wall. I am planning on taking the subway tile backsplash up to the ceiling above the window by the kitchen sink which is an 8 ft wall that meets the slant. We have a small kitchen and this one wall has always been something i ve never loved. I may just try faux panels.

I ran tile to ceiling on window wall w a chimney hood no upper cabinets on that wall. Bringing the subway all the way up to the ceiling is visually enticing and matches the lines of the cabinetry for a luxe feel. Subway tile is a classic choice for a kitchen backsplash. Just wanted a few opinions on my idea of doing a floor to ceiling subway tile in my kitchen.

I painted my orange oak circa 1989 cabinets w bm advanced paint in chantilly lace. We would also run the backsplash above the cabinets. In this design the tile is stacked like bricks. I have cabinets that have an open ended run on one side of my kitchen.
